Affordability Act:
With the rise of inflation, Canadians are losing more and more spending power every year while big corporations are taking in record profits.
A Green representative would bring forward an Affordability Act.
- Wages that Work for You:
- Introducing a Cap whereby the highest earning employee in a company can't make more than 20 times what their lowest earning employee makes.
- Introduce a living wage that is based on cities' living wage calculators.
- Establish Guaranteed Livable Income to ensure that every Canadian can live with dignity and independence.
- Affordable Housing
- Implement a National Housing Strategy to provide every Canadian with a place to call home.
- Invest in the co-operative housing sector to invigorate the new,affordable housing market and sustain existing co-ops facing liquidation.
- Clean up the red tape that makes it difficult for a homeowner to rent a portion of their house, while offering incentives to those who rent a bedroom at an affordable housing rate of 30% of a living minimum wage in that region.

Mission Possible is less about the original New Deal, Franklin D. Roosevelt’s massive public works program to lift post-Depression America out of poverty, and more about Churchill’s courageous World War II campaign to defeat fascism. It places Canada on something equivalent to a war footing to ensure the security of our economy, for our children and their children - for all future generations.
It is a call for "all hands on deck."
It incorporates all the requirements of economic justice, a just transition, the guarantee of meaningful work, while respecting the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People. It recognizes that we cannot achieve climate security in the absence of equity.
It is a commitment to achieve all 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), to which the Government of Canada claims to have already committed. All 17 goals will be achieved by 2030.

Electoral Reform:
Create a diverse, randomly selected Citizens Assembly for electoral reform with a mandate to provide binding recommendations on modernising Ontario’s and Canada's electoral systems. This is to ensure that every vote counts and the legislature reflects the democratic will of the people.
To achieve proportional representation, parties must put their partisan self-interest aside, work together, and let informed citizens play a leadership role. The Ontario Green Party understands the importance of a transparent and trustworthy multi-partisan process, and their platform shows all parties the way forward.
We will also push to overturn Ford's undemocratic decision which denies the municipalities that voted for rank ballots in their municipal elections. Kingston voted for the rank ballot in 2018. Green Representatives would listen to voters and act on the will of the people.
